This past Memorial Day Weekend we took a quick day trip up to Big Bear Lake to check out the spring scene and water levels of the lake itself.   And good news on both fronts:  Spring is in full session AND the lake is very very full, only 4 feet from full - which is great for this particular lake.   There was even some snow on neighboring San Gorgonio Mountain which sits high at 11,503 feet above sea level.   To put that in comparison, the lake itself is at 6,752 feet above sea level.  

Either way, it's a great day trip where you can boat on the lake, hike the trails, enjoy the village or even begin Mountain biking in the trails.
